Achab is located at the foot of the Gamgamichab mountains, only 9,5km south of Usakos on the D1914 road.

Achab has been set aside as a private initiative for conservation of various fauna and flora, including the mountain zebra (Burchells), leopord, endemic bird species eg. Herero Chat, as well as Quiver and Moringa trees.

Located 150 km from Swakopmund and 200 km from Windhoek it is the ideal place to get away from it all.  Achab is located on the D1914 (on route to Wustenquell).  When travelling from Swakopmund direction, turn right at the T-junction at old train station in Usakos. Turn right immediately after the train bridge .  Keep on gravel road for 9.5km. On your left you will find sign posts Achab.
